Set product urls in affiliate site noindex?

Hey,

I have an amazon affiliate site, lets say the niche is "headphones". I have currently 5000 headphones in following route: domain.com/headphone/xx where xx is an seo safe name, on there I have technical details then I also have a blog domain.com/blog

The problem is a lot of the headphones are not indexed currently. Therefore I ask my self if I should set them noindex to have indexing/crawl budget on my blog (traffic bringers) I dont believe that single products (single models of headphones) will bring me traffic. The single headphone sites are really similar and only differ in technical information and link to purchase

I would like your opinion on this topic. Thanks

Setting them to noindex (or pruning them completely) forces Googlebot to focus strictly on your high-value blog posts and comparison roundups where traffic actually converts.
 
I think you could use rel="canonical" to point to one of your chosen main pages (this could be the default configuration) for similar product pages.
 
First check Search Console. If those pages are getting no impressions at all, keeping them indexed may not be worth it.
 
I wouldn't noindex all product pages. Keep the pages with unique content and search demand indexed, and noindex only the thin or duplicate ones. This helps Google focus on your best pages while still giving valuable products a chance to rank.

Ofc not, I will not noindex them all without giving it a second thought. first, I would figure out which page get their first impressions and clicks nd then delete the useles ones.
 
If those product pages are thin highly similar and aren't bringing meaningful traffic using noindex can be a reasonable option to keep search engines focused on your higher value content.
 
It depends on the purpose of those pages. If the product pages contain unique content and have a chance to rank, I would keep them indexable. If they are thin pages with very little original information or only redirect users through affiliate links, I would consider using noindex.

there is no reason to make an entire website no-index becuz some of the pages are not indexed. analyze the data given from the google search console, keep the pages that have any impresions or unique content and no-index those that are duplicates.
 
You should start small by testing one traffic source with a simple lead page first. trying to build a huge site right away usually wastes money before you find what actually converts
