How Do You Find the Right Keywords for Your PPC Campaigns?

Some of the best keywords come from real campaign data. I usually start with a small test and keep the keywords that bring quality traffic.

I am trying to improve my PPC campaigns and want to understand how others find the best keywords before launching ads. I tested different keyword ideas, but sometimes the clicks are not as relevant as expected. How do you usually research and select keywords for your campaigns?
Do you rely on keyword tools, competitor research, search data, or your own testing experience?
Search volume is only one part of the research. I also check what kind of pages appear in the results because that often shows the real intent behind a keyword.

Do not focus only on high search volume. A smaller keyword with strong intent can bring better results.

Basically start with auto campaign with low budget.Than pick the keyword from auto campaign which keyword good intent

I prefer building small keyword groups based on intent. Someone searching for information should not be treated the same as someone looking for a product or service.

Test small, low budget campaigns first to collect real search query data. Reviewing actual user search terms lets you keep winning keywords and pause bad ones quickly.

I look at the words customers use when describing their problem. Those phrases are often better than generic keywords suggested by tools.

Add negative keywords before launching your ad. Blocking terms like free or jobs stops bad clicks and saves your money.

I usually don't start with the highest volume keywords. First I look at what people are actually searching for, then check competitor ads and landing pages. After that I build a small list and test it instead of adding hundreds of keywords. Search term reports and negative keywords are just as important as finding new keywords. Over time the data tells you which ones deserve more budget.
We think alike :) No one can know right away which keyword is the best, we need to proceed step by step

I usually start with keyword tools to build an initial list, but I don't rely on them alone. I also check what competitors are targeting and look at the actual search intent behind each keyword. After launching a campaign, I pay close attention to the search terms report and keep adding negative keywords to filter out irrelevant traffic. In my experience, ongoing testing and optimization are just as important as the initial keyword research.

Depending on the platform, the conditions for a good result may vary, so work closely with managers.

hi i usually use keyword tools and competitor research then test and optimize based on real campaign data and over time actual results help find the best keywords.

Competitor research helps a lot. I also look at search terms after running ads and remove keywords that bring useless traffic.

Competitor research helps me find new ideas. I check what keywords others are targeting and then test the ones that match my offer.

I usually make a list of possible keywords first, then check which ones match my offer. A keyword should bring the right people, not just more clicks.

Start with high-intent keywords, analyze competitors, and refine using search term reports and conversion data.

Search terms report > any keyword tool, hands down — tools give u volume estimates n guesses, but the actual search terms report shows u exactly what real humans typed to trigger yer ad, so I always launch broad-ish, mine that report weekly for irrelevant garbage to negative out n genuinely relevant terms to add as exact match, real user data beats theoretical kw research every time

I usually think a mix of keyword tools competitor research and search data and just start with high intent keywords and improve based on actual campaign results.

In my experience competitor research gives me ideas, but I never copy everyting I test those keywords first and keep only the ones that workk.
