Yes from my experience slow and steady growth looks more natural, sites that build content and links over time tend to hold rankings better, fast growth sometimes spikes then drops.

You need to demonstrate the trustworthiness of your website through several metrics that Google considers reliable, such as reviews and content that provides real value. Growth rate is not as important as building trust for your website.

The issue with fast growth is that it often comes with patterns that raise flags, not the speed itself.
Slow growth just tends to be safer because it’s easier to stay consistent and natural over time. But if everything is done properly, growth speed alone isn’t something Google is likely to penalize.

Google definitely trusts a slow, steady build way more than a sudden spike in links or content, if a brand new site suddenly gets 500 backlinks in a week, their algorithm usually flags it as unnatural spam and tanks the domain. Keep it looking normal by dripping out content and slowly earning a few quality links every month.

How fast you build your site isn't going to have much, if any, impact on your Google rankings. Site and domain age can matter, but I'd say it's mostly during the first year or two while Google builds trust and gathers more data about your website. After that, the weight of domain age drops off significantly, and factors like content quality, backlinks, topical authority, and overall site optimization become much more important.
