After sudden ranking drops or flat periods, have you seen pages recover naturally over time without major updates?
What usually explains those recoveries in your experience?

Yep, happens more than people expect alot of drops are just Google testing different results. the most common pattern is a competitor that temporarily outranked you.
 
People are constantly fighting to outrank others in keywords so if you are doing nothing you are doing always less than your competition. Which means you will not be growing naturally or suddenly back atleast the chance is incredibly low.
 
Sometimes rankings move because Google is testing different results. If the content is still useful, pages can recover naturally.
 
Yes, I have come across sites that recover even without doing anything on them, particularly after the completion of core updates or when Google processes the signals. If your content is good enough, then at times, it's better to wait for a couple of weeks.

this is true, particularly since the algorithms settle down after the update. the rankings can fluctuate while the algorithm re-evaluates the signal . but, I would rather be proactive nd improve on the areas that I am not gud at.

Yes bro I have seen this happen.

What worked for me: I just kept publishing 2 new posts per week in the same cluster.
Didn't change anything on the dropped pages.

After 6-8 weeks they slowly came back to page 1.
I think Google just needed more time + fresh content to trust the site again.
 
I have seen it happen. Sometimes Google just needs to recrawl and reassess after an update. If nothings actually wrong, rankings can recover on their own.
Also cool profile pic. It looks like its judging everyone's rankings from a safe distance.
 
Yes, in my business, sometimes a website recovers its second place ranking when Google completes its reassessment process following an algorithm update.
 
Yes, I have seen it happen more than once. A few pages dropped for no obvious reason and then recovered a few weeks later without any major changes from my side.
 
Sure, rankings her recovered after the update is settled, or in the future updates.
