For a long time, I mostly avoided broad match and preferred using phrase or exact match keywords. Recently I started testing broad match again with proper negative keywords and the results have been better than expected.
Has anyone else started using broad match again after avoiding it for years? Would like to know your experience and how you’re managing it.

I’ve started testing broad match again as well, and the results are much better than they used to be. The key difference is having strong conversion tracking and regularly cleaning search terms. Without good data, broad match can still waste a lot of budget.

I think broad match is a pretty interesting tool. Google has been moving toward automation in recent years, and broad match has more potential. The only caveat is that you need a larger budget to effectively optimize a broad match campaign. But it's definitely worth it. Using only exact match means you're missing out on a lot of potential, as Google will limit your impressions

Yes, broad match can work now if you have good conversion data and proper negative keywords. I still monitor search terms regularly.

I think broad match is useful when you treat it as a discovery tool, not a set-and-forget option. It can uncover new search terms, but you still need to review data and remove irrelevant traffic to keep performance stable.

I've seen better results with broad match recently when its paired with strong audience signals smart bidding and a well maintained negative keyword list Regularly reviewing the search terms report is still essential to keep traffic relevant.
