Posted on LinkedIn for 30 Days With Almost No Results

Hello

I used to think LinkedIn growth was all about posting consistently. I was posting regularly but the engagement was low and it was not bringing any real conversations then I started focusing more on sharing actual experiences, lessons learned and problems I faced instead of generic advice.

The difference was noticeable. More people started commenting and starting conversations.

Curious how others are using LinkedIn right now:

Are you getting better results from content posting, cold outreach, networking or paid ads?
What was actually working for you in 2026?
One such overlooked mistake is making an attempt to appear successfull rather than really being useful. While most people tends to post about their successes or quotes motivating them, very little tend to post about their experiences or what they have learned from their work. The people who really catches people eye are those whose profile feels like having a disccussion with an experienced person and not self advertising.

In my opinion, the main paradigm shift here is under standing that linkedIn is not a publishing platform at all it is a relationship one. ur post may be ignored but when you make a valuable comment to another person’s post, you have more chances to do well than posting something of ur own. I have found out that there are certain things like experiences, lessons learned and mistakes that generate more discussion as people identify with the process itself.

In my opinion, most people do not appreciate the role of context and personality on linkedIn enough. It is gud to post daily, but if the post does not have any personal point of view, struggle, or take away, it can be easily overlooked. In my experience, success has been more evident when using a combination of informative posts and engaging, connecting with people by commenting on their posts.

I think paid ads can help, but organic growth still comes from trust. Sharing useful experiences makes people remember you.

However, content by itself may take some time to gain traction in 2026. The better strategy would be that of integrating useful experiential posts with strategic outreach. In case anyone interacts with your content, make sure to follow up with a customized message or a pertinent case study rather than selling right away.
Since LinkedIn ads may become costly, content-based outreach could serve you better in the process of warming up prospects.

Cold outreach has worked better for me. Posting helps with visibility, but most of the actual conversations and leads came from reaching out to the right people instead of waiting for them to find me.

Networking and genuine conversation seems to outperform simply posting everyday.

in my opinion talking about personal experiences is more effective than just giving some tips because people will be able to relate to your problems and the lessons that you have learned. Moreover regular networkin really helps when it comes along with something valuabl.
