if you want fresh news every day on autopilot i wouldn’t go broad, auto scrape and rewrite sounds easy but you’ll just end up posting the same stuff as everyone else, better to pick a small niche, pull from a few sources and add a quick angle or takeaway so it doesn’t look like another copy paste site.

Yep, your "first class cms" wordpress then injects an rss code in the header section to generate lots of crawl waste urls- but that's not all, big sites scrape your pcntent and publish it ontheir site 1:1 before your content gets indexed! Google then ranks the scraper sites higher because google sees it as the origin.

WP Automatic + RSS feeds works well for the publishing side, but I'd add a filter step so you're only pulling from a handful of trusted sources and rewriting/summarizing rather than posting raw feed content - it saves you from duplicate content issues and keeps quality more consistent.

Publishing through rss today cause a lot of mee crawl waste urls in wordpress, and big sites stealing your content 1:1 before you will get them indexed. When you hava a news site ste it up in the Google Publisher Center and in Bing Pubhub , then they will index your news . You can rewrite them in a new lens, you not need rss for this, which will cause lots of crawl waste urls in the "first class cms" wordpress.
while AI definitely helps make setting up a website easier the trick lies in creating something that is credible nd creates motivation for ppl to come back. if i was making a news website then i would use the AI to assist with speed nd workfllow but would still have a person involved with verification nd a unique point of view. Otherwise, there is a high chance that the site would be another one of hundrreds like it.

I'm experimenting with this stack for my upcoming WordPress auto blogger extension. I'd say it works 6.5/10. Won't hint anything until 9/10
making post of news site with automation are done with competitors feed link which are added to the blog/website jabber to update new post on the news site to the new webpage on automation with the feed link copied, although it does need settings with plugin to get the feed update on page and it need to get rewrite for plagiarism fix content and copyscape pass.

A cheap setup is RSS feeds → n8n → AI → WordPress, where n8n checks news sources, sends the topic to an AI model, generates the article, and publishes it automatically. There are already free n8n workflows that do this for daily news sites. I’d personally keep the posts as drafts initially so you can quickly check facts, sources, and quality before publishing—fully automated AI news can easily produce inaccurate information if there’s no review step.
