Hi everyone,
I wanted to know what is the current best practice for warming up aged FB accounts before running ads or managing pages? How many days of passive activity do you recommend? Thanks in advance!

I'd avoid a fixed "X days" rule. For an aged account, I'd start with normal, low-volume activity for a few days, then gradually increase activity and only start ads once everything looks normal.

The main thing is consistency-avoid suddenly doing lots of actions after the account has been inactive.

Thanks a lot for the insight! That makes total sense to focus on consistency rather than just counting days.

You need to maintain consistent activity on that account before you can run ads or do other things. Facebook is very interested in account consistency.

You still need to warm up your account before running ads. Maintain consistency for at least five to seven days this is the warm-up period. You can run test ads with a small budget to check for effectiveness before scaling up your spending.

Give it at least 5 - 7 days of normal activity first. Just keep it natural before doing anything heavy like running ads or managing multiple pages.

When you log in with your old account on a new device, simply use it like a regular user to warm up and avoid spam posts. Manual login is encouraged instead of using tools.

To minimize risk, start by using dedicated settings for your ad account and gradually build credibility. Ensure the profile appears authentic, with natural and consistent activity. Only begin running ads once the account has proven to be stable, and scale up gradually to maintain long-term performance.

Use a personal Facebook account with verified identity that has no prior advertising history, and frequently post random, meaningless content to the profile to show Meta that the account is active

Within 2 weeks is ok to warm up the acc, use the acc as you use your personal acc i.e in posting, commenting and engaging on posts

With aged accounts the warmup is less about a set number of passive days and more about not spooking it when you take over. From what I've seen the account dying usually comes from the login environment changing suddenly, new device, new IP, new country, so match that as closely to the account's history as you can and hold it steady. I'd give it maybe a week of light normal activity (browsing, reacting, a bit of messaging) before touching ads, and don't jump straight to Business Manager stuff day one. The age already did the trust-building, your job is just not to make it look hijacked.

I think you should use it normally for 5-7 days before starting to run ads again.

I wouldn't rely on a fixed “warm-up” period. For a legitimate aged account, I'd make sure the profile is authentic, secure it with 2FA, complete the business/payment details, and use it normally before running compliant ads. Avoid sudden high spending or unusual activity.

I’d keep it natural rather than following a fixed number of days.normal browsing, profile activity and genuine interactions first. tbh rushing into ads is usually where people get the account flagged.
