Hi folks,

So far in 2026, i haven't noticed that both do follow and nofollow ratio hasn't made a noticeable differences only editorial quality, topic relevance and stronger contextual links have impact .

Does anyone feel or seen the same?

this is a true statement, but I would focus more on how natural the link profile look like. It is better to have a mix of variou links from appropriate source rather than a particular number of do-follow links.

Same observation here. I do not think focusing on a specific ******** / nofollow ratio will make any difference these days. An effective placement with quality content and good traffic is worth more than the ******** attribute itself.

I also think link quality matters more than just do follow or no follow. A relevant link from a good website can still bring value.

it is something that i have been noticing myself. there seems to be less reliance now on the previous method of concentrrating too much on ******** nd nofollow ratios. having a relevant link embedded in meaningful content could actually help u benefit from visibility, trust nd referral traffic. it appears that the search engines have gotten better at discerning the quality of the links rather than attriibutes alone.

Yes, absolutely. This is exactly what I've seen as well. Focusing on ******** vs nofollow stats doesn't matter that much anymore. What really counts is relevance of the backlink, quality of placement, topical authority and fit into the content.

That's been my observation as well. Emphasis seems to have shifted from link attributes to link context and relevance..did you notice the same trend across different niches or mainly authority sites?

I feel the same. I dont really look at the ******** and nofollow ratio now. Good relevant links seems to help more.

I agree. I don't really pay much attention to the do-follow vs no-follow ratio anymore. Relevance, natural link placement, and high quality editorial links seem to matter a lot more.

The whole do follow and no follow obsession feels increasingly outdated at this point
Google's said for a while now they treat nofollow as a hint not a hard rule, and in practice I've seen nofollow links from genuinely relevant, high-quality sites correlate with movement just as much as ******** ones from mediocre sites. What's actually mattered in my results has been the same things you mentioned editorial quality and real topical relevance.

I've seen the same discussion latel it feels like relevance matters more than the ratio itself has anyone tested this recently and noticed a clear difference in rankings or overall performance?

No the ratio doesn't really matter anymore what matters is relevance placement & real authority not whether a link is do-follow or no-follow

Agree the attribute itself doesn't matter much now. But the ratio is a different question.

A real website naturally gets some no follow links.
These can come from blog comments, forums, social media, and business directories.
If almost every link is do follow, it can look unnatural. It may seem like all the links were built on purpose.

I don't try to hit a certain do follow or no follow ratio.

But I also don't like a link profile with almost no no follow links.
