I believe that testing on existing pages would be the wiser choice. The video needs to address a user need or offer information in an expedient way, not just to have a video.
From what i have seen, pages that use images to provide additionail context tends to perform better than those that just provide information. measuring how engagement differs pre and post video would yield a more accurate answer.

I don't think every blog needs a video. If it helps explain the topic or keeps visitors engaged, a short and relevant video is usually more valuable than adding one just for the sake of it.

not every blog needs a video if it genuinely helps explain the topic or keeps visitors engaged it's worth adding in my experience short videos around 2–5 minutes usually work well without overwhelming the reader

You can add videos, but they have to be interesting and have strong hooks, otherwise your traffic will bounce.

Not every blog needs a video, but it can help if it genuinely adds value. I've found short videos, around 2 to 5 minutes, usually work well since they keep people engaged without dragging things out.

Adding relevant videos is a great way to boost your engagement, time on page, and value of the content provided that it actually addresses a certain need of the user.

I tend to keep videos short, usually between 2-5 minutes and focus on really addressing the intent of the user rather than just talking.

Have you ever A/B tested pages with and without embedded video to determine if they improved engagement or organic rankings?
