How Many Internal Links Do You Usually Add to a New Article?

I usually link only where it makes sense for readers. If an old article can help explain a point better, I add that link.

I try to prioritize important pages that I want to strengthen, but I avoid forcing links just for SEO. For me, a few highly relevant internal links placed naturally in the content usually work better than adding a lot of links that don’t provide much value.

I stick to strict contextual linking: both ways. The links have to make total sense semantically, topically, and for user experience.

You also have to balance link density with content length. Cramming a short post with a ton of internal links isn't going to do your rankings any favors

The most effective internal linking strategy isn't about quantity (many or few), but about structure and context. Prioritize user experience (UX) and relevance over stuffing too many links. On average, a 1,000-1,500 word article only needs 3-5 quality internal links.

I just don't add any link randomly.I am following simple approach .

1. internal links should be relevant to the article topic while complementing user & article intent.
2. THere should not be any fixed number.
3. there should not be any fixed internal link number.
