I don't follow a fixed number. I usually add 5–15 internal links, depending on the article length and how many genuinely relevant pages I have.

My rule is simple: every link should help the reader or strengthen topical relevance. I'd rather add 8 highly relevant links than force 20 just for SEO. Relevance and a strong content cluster matter more than hitting a specific number.

Usually I add 3-4 internal links, and 1-2 rilevant external that point to youtube, reddit, wikipedia etc.

I usually link only where it makes sense for readers. If an old article can help explain a point better, I add that link.

I try to prioritize important pages that I want to strengthen, but I avoid forcing links just for SEO. For me, a few highly relevant internal links placed naturally in the content usually work better than adding a lot of links that don’t provide much value.

I stick to strict contextual linking: both ways. The links have to make total sense semantically, topically, and for user experience.

You also have to balance link density with content length. Cramming a short post with a ton of internal links isn't going to do your rankings any favors
