It feels like the gap between ranking for a keyword and “creating content people actually trust is getting bigger. This is exactly why blogging strategies from a few years ago are being re-evaluated today.

Publishing lots of low-effort, keyword-focused articles used to bring steady traffic. In 2026, quality, originality, and topical authority matter much more than quantity.
 
Generic SEO content faded fast. Real insights and firsthand experience are what truly earn visibility now.
 
I think keyword stuffing was something that worked better years ago. Now it just makes content look unnatural and dont really help rankings.

Totally agree, I've seen this firsthand. In 2024, SEO optimized listicles and keyword stuffed guides could rank just from hitting the right structure.

One change is that i used to go after keywords without fully comprehennding the user experience. In other words, when I ranked a certain page for a keyword with low competition, that was much enough to drive traffic. However, most of this traffic is not valuable. It seems to work much better when I develop content based on solving an issue rather than focussing on keywords.

Publishing large batches of low competition articles used to work well for me, Now I get better results from fewer, more in depth posts that genuinely answer the user's question.
 
blogging require having experiences in making content which are done manual and copying with rewrite of other people website posts before the expose of Ai page/model which could reference for any keyword research.

Totally agree. AI is basically pushing us back to basics, content should actually be useful first, and optimized second.

Something that ceased being beneficil for me was seeing the publication as the end result. In 2024, once the blog post went live, i could move on to writing the next one. But starting from now, the job is just beginninng after I click publish.
The articles that continue growing are those that i constantly update with new examples and internal linking and by taking into account people search intent. A great blog post is more of a product nowadays.

low competition keywords got you in the door, but AI search seems to reward pages that actually solve the problem, not just match the query. Are you finding you write longer, more exhaustive posts now or shorter and more specific to one problem?
