It's easy to assume that lots of likes, comments, and shares automatically lead to more sales, but that isn't always what I see. Some posts generate huge engagement while bringing in very few customers, while others with modest engagement convert surprisingly well.

engagement feeds the algorithm
conversions feed the business

Two very different metrics...

Yes!! high engagement can increase conversions when it comes from the right audience and leads users toward a clear next step.

engagement only helps when it comes from people who might actually buy.
i’d track profile visits, link clicks, and assisted conversions by post instead of using likes as the main signal.
a smaller post with strong buyer intent can beat a viral one by a mile.

High engagement is not effective if the audience does not match your target customer base. You need to focus on individuals with the intent to convert, rather than those who are merely interested but lack a genuine need.

Yes. High engagement can increase conversions by building trust, boosting visibility, and attracting the right audience—especially when paired with a clear call to action.

Content relevance with right audience will surely convert, when content is not relating conversion will be low.
