I have a car business , ads facebook page for 2 years and suddenly i get many obvious fake followers and likes appear on my posts / page. can it cause trouble in future ?

it can still happen in the future, however, when you run ads, you should focus more on your ads, it's better. page with fake and likes and followers won't effect too much.

you can try to limit the apperance of your ads in the countries that your ads don't target.

If you consistently ensure your content is valuable and the new followers coming to your fan page are also real, fake bots wont be a problem. I had a similar experience in the "electric tools" niche, and a competitor was doing the same. It didn't help much, because running a real business, there's no way it could be banned(always you can wrote appeal).

Fake followers alone would not damage the page, but if there is an abrupt influx of low-quality people on your follower list, it could have an impact on the signals of engagement. My advice is to stay away from paid engagement and monitor the source.

fake follower usually don’t hurt much by themselves. focus on real engagement, secure your page, and keep monitoring unusual activity to avoid any future ad performance issue .

No it wont affect your page for now but be carefull on how you manage the profile

First, it ruins your organic reach and engagement rate because Meta's algorithm tests new content on a small sample of followers - if those bots don't engage, your post won't be pushed to real users. Second, if you run Facebook Ads targeting page followers or Lookalike Audiences, your ad budget will be wasted on non-converting bot profiles.

Yes, fake followers can hurt engagement over time. Avoid buying them, remove obvious fakes if possible, and focus on real audience growth.

As long as your creatives are good and u target the right audience, those bot likes wont harm your campaigns. Your competitor might be trying to play dirty, but it wont work. Just keep scaling your ads as usual

I have seen this happen to other pages from time to time A small number of fake followers usually is not a major issue but I would avoid buying engagement and focus on attracting real people since genuine interaction is much more valuable over the long term

Yeah it absolutely can, n honestly this smells like sabotage not luck - competitors can literally buy bot followers n point em at UR page to tank yer engagement rate n trigger Meta's spam detection, so report it n document the spike now, bc if Meta's algo flags the pattern later, "I didn't buy those" won't matter if u didn't already have a paper trail showin u reported it

yeah it can cause trouble later, mostly by messing up your page signals and possibly triggering spam/fake-engagement flags. best thing is to report them

It won't affect your page in any way.
