Recently, I've noticed that the cost per ad is very high. Can anyone help me, or am I doing something wrong that's causing such high ad costs?

High costs are often due to new ads or new pixels not yet reaching a wide audience, resulting in high costs per impression. Another factor could be the media you're posting; it might not be engaging enough to entice many people to click and view more products. It could also be because you haven't targeted the right audience in terms of age, gender, and country.

I think the situation you described is more similar to a Facebook distribution error.
Perhaps you should turn off the campaign on this account today to avoid further costs.

And start the campaign on a other new account.
 
High advertisement prices could be caused by poor targeting, high competition, low quality scores, or poor conversion signals. In my opinion, one needs to look at CTR, landing page experience, and keywords to see where the problem lies.

high ad costs are usually triggered by audience saturation, poor creative relevance, or bidding in overly competitive segments. try refreshing your creative assets, broadening your target audience, and optimizing your landing page conversion rate to lower overall CPM and CPA
 
I think the problem can be your ads is not attractive enough for audience, or content of ads is old, besides there are many other factors like pixel.
You can try with new ads, or change a new account.

high cost does not necessarily impply problems. it can be the case of increased competition in the market but in most cases, it is either the problem of targeting, ad creative or incorrect audience selection. normally i find out at which stage of the funnel the cost of acquisitiion is high.
 
There may be several causes of high CPC, such as niche competitiveness, targeting, bidding, or lack of ad relevance. I would recommend analyzing search terms, click-through rate, conversion rate, and landing page quality before adjusting bids.

the rise in advertising cost is not alway becuz of the channel used. most often, I check on what metric has increased in order for me to reduce cost. This can either be CPM, CTR, or conversion rate.
 
There can be several reasons for high advertising costs. It could be due to competition, targeting, low CTR, or even low conversion rates. Analyze your keywords, audience, and landing page experience; at times, improving relevance will reduce advertising costs even more than bid changes.
 
Just run the test campaign for a day or two, mate; if the costs remain high, change the content or video—don't keep burning money on an ineffective ad.
 
High CPCs usually come from low Quality Scores, broad targeting, or weak ad relevance Google and Meta both reward tightly matched ads with cheaper costs. Narrow your audience, improve your ad-to-landing-page relevance, and test different creatives to bring costs down.
 
It might be based on many things, but some countries that have elections about to happen, and when it those times ad costs accross multiple networks (google, meta, etc) usually gets very expansible, since governments began running ads... and they spend A LOT. But if the country you are directing the ads are not in this situation, almost probably it's a new pixel, or either your creatives or ad strategies aren't optimized enough
 
Check your campaign metrics like CTR and CPM. This will help you understand whether the problem is with your ad or your targeting.

Either the creative isn't good, or the ad is new and Meta didn't have the time to push your ad to the correct audience.
