We’re currently hosting our application on Railway, but we’re running into a pretty annoying limitation. Our RAM usage occasionally spikes, and when it does, the server crashes. We’d happily just pay Railway for more RAM/resources, but apparently that isn’t an option without moving to their Enterprise plan. The pricing jump is ridiculous for our use case, basically 5x+ what we’re currently paying.
At the moment we’re spending around $500–700/month, so we’re definitely not looking for $10 bargain hosting. We just want something with a lot more RAM/resources and preferably the ability to scale without suddenly being pushed into an enterprise contract. I already know the obvious providers like Hetzner, DigitalOcean, AWS, etc. I’m more interested in hearing about lesser-known providers, particularly Asian/Eastern European providers. I’ve heard there are some very competitive Vietnamese, Chinese and Russian hosting companies, but I don’t know which ones are actually reliable. To be clear, we’re running a bot/application with legitimate traffic. There’s no spam, DDoS, malware, scraping abuse, blackhat/greyhat activity, etc. So we don’t need bulletproof hosting or anything along those lines.
Main priorities are:
Lots of RAM / high RAM limits
Good CPU performance
Stable network
Ideally easy scaling
Budget around $500–700/month, potentially higher if the hardware/value makes sense
Anyone running something similar who can recommend providers outside the usual Hetzner/AWS/DO ecosystem?
