I am interested in this too there seems to be a lot of different advice about youtube lately Id really like to hear what has worked for people who are actively growing channels it would be helpful to know which strategies have stayed effective over time not just for a few weeks

For me strong thumbnails and audience retention have made the biggest difference Shorts help with discovery but long form videos build a loyal audience better
 
I think consistency is the biggest thing on YouTube. You should find a topic you can create regularly and focus on making videos that keep people watching.

in my opinion knowing ur audience is what makes uhh succeed on utube rather than using either shorts or long content. while Shorts offer immediate exposurre, long content can help create loyalty. having an interesting concept nd engaging people r key not consttant uploads.

I feel that while many content creators continue to concentrate heavily on whether to make shorts or long videos, the key thing is how one understands what keeps people coming back for more. shorts videos help attract attention, but when it comes to making viewers trust your content and coming back again, a good long strategy always works better .
 
Long videos is good on YouTube especially for earnings but to gain growth and more subscribers, engaging shorts is the best way to go.

One thing that has been effective in improving my results is treating Youtube as a library and not a social network. I aim at making content that people will be searching even after six months. i use Shorts to direct people to such ever green content. The biggest increase in numbers cames about when i stopped focusinng on views and focused on the number of viewers coming back to my channel.
