With so many transactions happening on BHW, I’m surprised the forum still doesn’t offer an official escrow service.

A built-in system where buyers deposit funds, sellers deliver, and payment is released after verification could reduce scams and make larger deals much safer. BHW could also charge a small escrow fee and create an additional revenue stream.

I understand there may be legal, compliance, and dispute-resolution challenges, but the demand clearly exists.

Would you use an official BHW escrow service? What do you think is preventing BHW from launching one?

I don't have the time, nor the energy to answer this again. If you use the search function, I'm sure you'll find a lot of replies from staff. This is what Google's AI overview says. Mind, I did not check it for authenticity, but from what I know of the process, it hits in the ballpark:

Becoming an escrow agent in the UK isn't a standalone licensed profession, but it is a strictly controlled activity. To practice, you must be authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a Payment Institution (under the Payment Services Regulations), or operate under a regulated entity like a law firm or trust company. [1, 2, 3]
To build an escrow business or operate as an agent in the UK, follow these core steps:
    • Choose Your Regulatory Path: Escrow is considered a payment service. You must either apply directly for FCA Authorization or partner with an established FCA-regulated principal firm to act as their Appointed Representative (AR). [1]
    • Master Compliance Frameworks: You must comply with UK Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and ensure adherence to the UK GDPR for handling sensitive client data. [1, 2]
    • Establish Trust Accounts: Client funds must be segregated and held in safeguarded accounts at recognized, Tier-1 UK banks (such as the Bank of England). [1, 2, 3]
    • Draft Escrow Agreements: You will need standard, watertight contracts (often governed by English law) that clearly outline the deposit, verification, and release conditions for the transacting parties. [1, 2]

There are already lots of escrow agents out there. Pick one. Escrow.com or another one.

yeah but Why Doesn’t BHW Offer an Official Escrow Service?

PLS DON'T EXECUTE ME.

because BHW is in a bureaucratic jurisdiction
maybe one day DD will open another company in dominica, cayman islands, VBI or another random island without strict rules or give a shit and create a russian company to shit on western laws, lmao
with this need for licenses, docs and bla bla bla, it will take a while until there is a native escrow BHW service here

As we've said about 300,000 times, escrow is planned to be a part of MP2.
