I have a few small businesses set up in the US and Caribbean...
And trust me when i tell you... for the past 6 months everything is unbelievably slow.
People are not spending, maybe the economy is getting worse, I really don't know.
I'm still getting sales, but I have to put in alot of work, and invest in more ads.
Wherever your location is, there is a demand for many things.
If you have a skill, and the market for that is saturated, apply that skill differently into something else that solves a problem and it will sell.

There isn't one perfect business. The biggest factor is whether you can consistently acquire customers. I'd rather own a simple business with strong marketing than a great product that nobody knows about.
