Is native advertising still worth testing for affiliate traffic?

one thing nobody mentioned, dayparting matters a lot more than people think on native. i was running a finance advertorial and my numbers looked terrible until i pulled the hourly data... turned out like 70% of my conversions came between like 6am and noon, the rest of the day was just bleeding money. once i cut the dead hours and reallocated, roi basically doubled overnight without touching the creative or funnel at all.

same goes for widget/site level data not just placements. some sites send traffic that clicks like crazy but never buys, and the network won't tell you that, you have to find it yourself in your tracker. blacklisting at the widget id level instead of just the site got me way cleaner results than broad site blocks.

native isnt dead but its definitely a data game now, not a creative game. if you're not comfortable digging through spreadsheets you're gonna struggle imo

I’ve been seeing a lot of people mention native ads again lately and I’m wondering if it’s still worth testing in 2026.
Is native traffic still profitable for affiliate offers, or has it become too expensive and competitive?
If anyone is still running native ads, what kind of offers or funnels are actually working for you right now?
Thanks!
In my opinion, native ads are still profitable, but only if you optimize aggressively. On Taboola, small changes in creative and targeting can completely flip CPA.

Anyone manage to get past anti fraud? Taboola is quite aggressive as of late and accounts dont seem to last more than 2-3 days at best. Even without a cloaker on they notice patterns and block based on suspicion.. i would love to hear peoples opinion on this.

Native ads can still work, but the easy wins are mostly gone.
Good creatives, proper tracking, and testing different angles matter more now. The traffic quality depends a lot on the offer and funnel.

yes i think native ads are still worth testing but the strategy has changed and good creatives and a strong funnel matter more now and also it depends a lot on the offer and traffic quality.

Sure it worth investing on because is very affordable.

@simonedibergamo regarding the taboola bans... they've been using automated scanners way more lately. if your safe page looks like a typical affiliate bridge page with no real privacy policy or contact info they flag it on suspicion. you gotta make the safe site look like a legit media hub with multiple articles, not just a single lander.

@Glam Goddess to answer your question, native is still very much alive but you need to budget for the junk traffic at the start. like @JaxonWP said, widget blacklisting is where you make or break your campaign. if you launch wide open on taboola or outbrain, you'll burn a few hundred bucks in a day on garbage placements that click but never convert.

if you want to test on a budget, honestly try starting with revcontent. traffic is a bit more wild but CPC is way lower and they are much more relaxed on the angles you can run.

In my opinion, the offer matters a lot. A good offer with the right audience can still perform even on competitive platforms.

yep native ads can still be profitable but competition is higher so a good funnel and the right affiliate offer are important and direct to offer campaigns are harder to make profitable now.

yeah i think native ads are still worth testing and also start from small and test different offers and landing pages.

Yeah, native still works imo, but you gotta test the funnel and angle properly. Direct linking is pretty hard now.

Yes i think native ads are still worth testing so i just suggest to start from small and test different offers to see what works.

native ads are good for local affiliate program promotion which are done in certain local location to benefit with the native ads of the location to convert live traffics for sales of item/service.

Roughly 1000 clicks per angle before the data says anything, and you're testing 3-4 angles minimum. So the entry cost is your target CPA times 3, per angle, before you're allowed an opinion.

Native ads are still worth testing, but start small and watch the actual conversion quality. A high CTR can look good while the traffic brings very few real leads or sales.

Yes I think native ads are still worth testing in current year but also it depends on the offer and funnel i would suggest you to starting with a small budget and then test a few creatives then scale what works.
