Same Campaign Works in One Country But Fails in Another

Different GEOs can behave completely differently even with the same setup. I usually check traffic quality, competition, audience behavior, and conversion rate before changing everything. If the GEO keeps burning budget after enough data, I just cut it and move budget to the winners.

I am running the same campaign in multiple GEOs. One country is giving good results, but another one is spending budget without enough conversions. The campaign setup is almost the same.
How do you decide whether to optimize the GEO or look for another issue?
Hey bro,

This is pretty common. Same campaign can work in one country and completely fail in another.

Usually it’s not just one reason. Different GEOs have different:

- Competition and CPC
- User behavior and trust level
- Device usage
- Time zones and when people convert
- Even the way people search or click

What I usually do is check these first:

1. Cost per click and conversion rate side by side
2. Landing page experience (sometimes it loads slow or looks different in that country)
3. Target audience quality (if you are reaching the right people?)

If one GEO-location is clearly not performing after enough data, I either stop sending there, or test a different approach for that country (new creatives, different offers, or tighter targeting).

Don’t force the same setup everywhere. What works in one place often needs changes in another.

How long have you been running the weak GEO and what’s the difference in conversion rate?

Different GEOs need different creatives, landing pages, and even offers same campaign setup rarely works across markets because buyer behavior and trust signals vary significantly. Before killing the underperforming GEO, test localized creatives and a native-language landing page first; that alone often fixes the conversion gap.
