I’ve been testing AI-written ad headlines. CTR looks okay, but conversion is low. Anyone else comparing human vs AI ad copy results?

using AI to write your content entirely is a low effort move.

You can use AI to help you make content, but adding a bit of human touch wouldn't be superfluous.

AI copy grabs attention fast, but human ads win long-term because they connect better with real emotions and intent.

Yeah, AI copy can boost CTR, but humans still win on conversions since nuance and intent matter more there.

AI can boost CTR by grabbing attention, but human-written copy often nails the emotional side that drives conversions—might need to blend both for better results.

hey, I just noticed the same that AI headlines get good clicks, but human-written copy gives me better conversions. I think testing both works best.

Before concluding anything about AI versus human here, worth asking how you're measuring it. If those headlines sit in a responsive search ad, Google assembles combinations at serve time and asset level reporting attributes metrics per instance of the asset served inside a combination, not to a headline in isolation. A headline can look like it converts badly purely because of what it kept getting paired with. The only objective read is a campaign experiment, or two ad groups with identical targeting and budget where one is all AI copy and the other all human, run until you have enough conversions for the gap to mean anything.
