If I were to start over, I would focus on the basics instead of algorithms. I would concentrate on verifying accounts, using custom thumbnails, and keeping uploaded videos private until everything was ready. I would also spend time researching successful content using tools like VidIQ, then focus on uploading videos regularly and improving quality with each video

Hey! If I was beginning a new channel today, my first thing I'd do would be the title and thumbnail since if nobody clicks on that, then what good does this content do? I would also ensure that my sound is clear. If it is poor they will log out immediately. Do not purchase fake views or subs to make your channel appear to be larger, because it will have a detrimental effect on your channel's algorithm data in the long run. Just do it regularly, don't get worked up over the early numbers and concentrate on making each video a little better than the previous one. Good luck!

Don't chase trends alone, build a searchable library of evergreen content. Most channels don't fail because of the algorithm; they fail because creators quit before they gather enough data to improve.
In the first place, that is when I will look for my audience and produce videos that they actually want to see instead of joining the bandwagon. Some of the things I am going to focus on starting day one include consistency, optimizing thumbnails, and retention analysis.

The majority of people concentrate heavily on the equipment and making their fst videos great, but the actual learning happens through publishing and feedback analysis.
What i would do differently is spend more time on understanding the target audience and playing with hooks and thumbnails in one niche. early videos are just data, and no final verdict on the channel success yet.
Another suggestion that I no longer follow is never delete content. I used to save every single page on the internet believing that having more indexed pages equates to having gud SEO. However, there were times when some of these pages were old and not helpful in real, thus taking up more crawl budget space. It was easier to just combine pages and remove some.
