I wanna use a tracking template but im not sure who Google sees them / how they treat them

I was going to wait for a campaign to get approved then add it after but i saw some members said they got circumventing after adding one

For the people who've had experience using them recently how often do u face issues with suspensions etc

google ads sees the tracking template because it’s literally part of the ad’s click URL flow
customers may not see it in the address bar depending on parallel tracking, but google still does
suspensions risk it’s usually not the template itself it’s when the resulting click/landing path looks like an attempt to hide what the real destination is

I'm interested in learning more about tracking templates. Which tools or templates have worked best for you in real projects? I'd appreciate hearing about your experience, especially regarding accuracy, ease of use, and whether they improved workflow

I also used tracking templates before and didn’t really face any big issues and just make sure the tracking link is clean and clear nothing looks suspicious because better to test it first before using it on a bigger on scale.

Tracking templates are completely legitimate and Google supports them natively the circumventing system issues usually happen when the final URL and display URL don't match, not because of the template itself. Add it after approval like you planned and make sure your redirect chain lands on the exact same domain shown in the ad.

Hey bro,

From what I’ve seen, Google is pretty strict with tracking templates these days.

A lot of people add them after the campaign is approved and still get flagged for “circumventing systems” later. Sometimes it happens within days, sometimes after weeks.

It really depends on:
- How the template is set up
- Whether you’re using any cloaking or redirect chains
- Account history and trust level

Some guys run fine for months, others get suspended quickly after adding one.

If the campaign is already live and performing, I’d be careful about changing the tracking setup. Many people prefer to keep it simple to avoid extra risk.

Have you already tested the template on a small/new account or only planning on the main one?
