relevance and quality matter much more than the backlink type guest posts can still work well when they are published on trustworthy niche related websites with useful content
 
i think the best one is the site that is most relevant topic/issue/service. eventually u want those users to realize that they also need your service.
 
Relevant guest posts on trusted websites still work well when they are natural and useful. I also focus on earning editorial links and building strong internal links instead of chasing large numbers of backlinks.
 
Recently I got better results from links that people actually click. A backlink bringing referral traffic feels more valuable than just a SEO link.
 
Niche edits and genuine guest posts on real, traffic-getting sites that's what's actually moving rankings for me right now
Guest posts still work, but only on sites that pass the sniff test: real audience, regular publishing schedule, topical match
 
I am focusing more on quality pages instead of high authority numbers. A relevant backlink from a small website can also perform well.
 
I think alot of people get burned by guest posting because they treat it like a number game just gets as many links as possible regardless of where . But google gotten pretty good at figuring out when a guest post is just there for a link vs when it add values to that site.
 
For me, quality always beats quantity. I would rather get one backlink from a trusted, relevant website with real organic traffic than ten links from weak websites created only to sell backlinks.
 
Niche edits and guest posts on sites in the same niche as my blog still work like they used to. I usually mix some forum nofollow links in high ranking forums in my niche

For me, relevant backlinks have been performing better than simply chasing high metrics. A few links from sites in the same niche have often made more of a difference than a larger number of random links.

Guest posts still work in my experience, but only if the site is genuinely relevant and has real traffic. I'd rather have one quality guest post than several links from weak or overused sites.
