It’s happeed to me too, where I pretended to understand a technical subject, and then the person asked a simple question, and suddenly my mind went blank!

Mine was pretending I understood a client's requirements. Five minutes later they asked me to explain it back to them and yeah, I knew I was cooked :D

During a date, I felt like I needed to fart, I thought it would be something mild and quiet, but I ended up shitting my pants and had to run to the bathroom. There was no toilet paper, so I had to wipe with my socks.

My story is a little different, but it is from the same category of awkward work situations. About 20 years ago, I applied for a video editor position at a local tv station. A friend who worked there showed me the basics of adobe premiere about 50 minutes before the interview and quickly explained the main things I needed to know. Somehow, using only that, I managed to edit a news report, got the job, and later worked for many years as a video editor and director at several TV channels. Sometimes you just have to learn as you go o_O

Oh fuck, my little story does not even compare to that :D

just last week, i saw my friend from behind at the mall, walked up quietly, and slapped him on the shoulder as hard as i could, he turned around and it was a complete stranger :D

I remember pretending I was confident during a meeting, then getting asked a follow-up question and immediately regretting every decision that brought me there.
