What was the funniest reason that you have ever been cooked?

It’s happeed to me too, where I pretended to understand a technical subject, and then the person asked a simple question, and suddenly my mind went blank!

Mine was pretending I understood a client's requirements. Five minutes later they asked me to explain it back to them and yeah, I knew I was cooked

My story is a little different, but it is from the same category of awkward work situations. About 20 years ago, I applied for a video editor position at a local tv station. A friend who worked there showed me the basics of adobe premiere about 50 minutes before the interview and quickly explained the main things I needed to know. Somehow, using only that, I managed to edit a news report, got the job, and later worked for many years as a video editor and director at several TV channels. Sometimes you just have to learn as you go

I ofter feel cooked while around my friends , especialy act like known the incident that they were discussing which I totally forgot.

Mine was pretending I understood a new tool after watching one YouTube tutorial. Someone said, "Can you explain how it works?" and I immediately realized my entire knowledge was the title of the video. I was absolutely cooked.
