Is youtube actually already "dead"?

I think the biggest change is viewer expectations. People decide within the first few seconds whether to keep watching, so improving the opening of your videos can make a noticeable difference.

never, youtube is still the biggest platform. even new creators getting millions of views because their content is unique

For yt chanels I watched, all of them, no exception, comparing to years before, Traffic dropped significantly, some of them even dropped to almost like 1/10, all original content chanels.
years before, yes I can also see some chanels traffic dropped , but I can also come accross to many new chanels traffic surged significantly, but now? I didn't find any new chanels like these.
it looks like yt traffic already gone to somewhere else like tiktok?
I hope what I saw is wrong, hopefully you can give a totally different story.
Just optimize your content properly in your niche. Understand your audience and you will start seeing a change in results.

Faceless gym has good traffic. Just target a different language

YouTube does not seem dead because millions of people still watch videos every day The competition is much higher now but channels that publish useful and engaging content can still find an audience Consistency and quality usually matter more than ever

Definitely not dead, there’s still traffic to be funneled for a good amount of niches. When I go by my own situation, I still use YT pretty much on a daily basis.

There is nothing to worry about quality content will find its way to target audiance regardless of competition.

I don't think YouTube is dying; what's happening is that some niches are no longer working, but YouTube is the number one platform for long-form videos and one of the most important for short videos.

I think some people have moved to TikTok and Shorts, but I wouldn't say YouTube traffic is gone because It just feels like the competition is much higher now, but YouTube is still huge.

Yt isn't dead, its algorithm has changed!! They keep changing the pattern of the algo every year since 2022 and later and youtube doesn't reward creativity or originality anymore, although of course a few channels may blow up, but the current algo just promotes the same topics done by multiple different creators. This is a really good time to start channels by just copying videos that have got millions of views and get the same kind of success, however do keep in mind youtube still prioritizes quality on the content even if it is copied, so focus on retention, ctr and etc, mainly do videos on topics that have already proven to get millions of views.
so your basically saying originality is pointless on YT now, but doesn't that create like a oversaturation problem?? like if everyones just copying the same viral topics wont the algo eventualy start favoring whoever does it best rather then whoever does it first — and at that point isn't quality + originality kind of the same thing?

No youtube is not dead and will not be soon "dead" . It will be however more competitive than ever to do a good income on the yotube platform

Audiences haven't left the platform; legacy channels are simply losing market share to modern creators who master fast paced retention editing.

YouTube’s total watch time hasn't vanished to TikTok, it simply migrated internally to Shorts and CTV, crushing traditional long form view counts.
