Need advice before hiring SEO for an online casino project

Hey guys,

I need some advice from people who’ve actually worked in the casino / iGaming SEO space

I am working on an online casino project and before I hire anyone for SEO, I want to get some honest input from people who know this niche properly

I know casino SEO is a different game compared to normal niches so I am trying to understand what is actually realistic and what I should be looking for before hiring someone

Main things I’d like advice on:

Is it still realistic to grow / rank an online casino project through SEO in 2026?

If you were hiring an SEO for a casino project, what would you want to see from them first?

In your experience what matters most in this niche: technical SEO content links GEO strategy or something else?

What kind of proof / case studies should I ask for before trusting someone with a project like this?

that is really what i am trying to understand before hiring anyone what is actually realistic in this niche i already know casino SEO is not about quick wins, so I’d rather get honest input first than just trust big promises

At the same time i am looking for someone who is genuinely experienced and has actually worked in the casino niche before i have multiple casino related sites and a fairly large agency setup so i need someone solid who can help with proper long term growth that is also why i made a post in the Black Hat section as well because i have a lot of work on hand

Casino SEO in 2026 is still possible but way tougher and slower than before. Google is stricter on gambling sites.
If I was hiring, I’d want to see
Real case studies from actual casino/iGaming projects (not ecom or other niches)
Proof of ranking in competitive GEOs
How they handle link building in this niche (very important)
In my experience, backlinks + strong content + proper technical setup matter most. GEO targeting and local signals also help a lot.
Ask for recent screenshots of rankings and traffic growth from their past casino clients.

First thing Id ask is his or her successful projects, without proving - its a no go. In the igaming there is a lot of stuff like NDA, etc, but do not listen to this.

What works - is a mix of everything.

I will ask them how they not doing in connection with an online casino. anyone can tell you how they will do something, but only people who have done iGamingseo for many year will know how that method may go wrong within six month.

I would like to find out how many percentage of their websites don't work at all. anyone can boast of his suces but an experienced person will alway have something to say about failure.
