hello, so i am marketing my brand through fb ads, and ive done tiktok ads before. I've mostly depended on ugc content to rip n edit, but now as Im coming back to ads im having a hard time with making good ads since there so much AI out there. What would yall do when it comes to getting or making good content for your ads?
1. Rip ugc online and edit
2.Get an AI to make my videos with sora
3. Ship product to models for filming
4. Agency makes ads

sora and ai video tools are still too weird for actual product ads, people spot them instantly and they just dont convert well yet. ripping ugc still works if you are good at editing and mashup different clips, but ad accounts get flagged way easier now for copyright. your best bet is doing a hybrid... send free products to cheap creators on fiverr or billo, get the raw footage, then use that to make your own hooks. agencies are just going to charge you a grand for the same thing you can do yourself in an afternoon.

If you want to cost-cut for starting AI is best. I'd with shipping the product to real models. UGC rips are played out and AI stuff still looks off in ads right now. Real footage converts better. Just ship product to creators/models and get real clips. Everything else is either saturated or still too fake looking for FB. You can use both AI and models in combination.

If it were my brand, I'd go with #3. Authentic UGC from real creators tends to outperform heavily edited or fully AI-generated ads over the long run because it builds more trust. I'd use AI for scripting, editing, or creating variations, not as a complete replacement. Once you find a winning creative angle, an agency can help you scale it, but I wouldn't start there unless you already have a proven offer.

How much do you think I should be spending per video with a real creator?

I’d avoid ripping UGC unless you have permission, it can create copyright issues and usually looks recycled anyway. AI video is worth testing for hooks, scripts, backgrounds, and variations, but fully AI-made ads can still feel fake, especially for a physical product.

Shipping the product to a few smaller creators is probably the best starting point. Give them loose talking points instead of a rigid script, then turn the footage into multiple hooks, cuts, and formats. An agency only makes sense once you already know your offer converts and you have enough budget to test consistently.

If the budget allows, I'd ship the product to creators. Authentic UGC still tends to outperform polished AI videos

Ship product to real micro - creators every damn time - rippin random UGC is a copyright/rights nightmare waitin to happen n Sora-generated stuff still reads as "off" enough that it tanks trust in a space where authenticity IS the sellin point, real ppl w/ real hands touchin yer product just converts better, full stop

AI should only be used for backgrounds, voiceovers, or supplementary visuals, it should absolutely not be used to create videos where AI completely replaces real people using the product, as the authenticity is very poor. This is just my personal opinion, you can refer to various other sources...:)

I only know about the fourth problem you're facing, in my personal opinion, when your ad budget is large enough and you need to scale quickly, partnering with a professional creative agency will help you continuously generate new hook combinations to overcome campaign fatigue.

Depends heavy on niche/followers but honestly for UGC-specific (not influencer reach, just raw content) I'm payin like $50-150 per video for solid micro-creators, n I'd rather run 5-6 cheap creators for variety/testin than blow the whole budget on one "big" name
