I think a lot of local businesses expect YouTube to generate leads directly, but it usually works better as a trust builder. Someone might find you through Google or a referral, then check your YouTube channel before deciding to contact you. Seeing real work and real expertise can make a big difference.
 
At this point, its not about "what" you are promoting. It's about "how" you are promoting. YT needs to be a certain way, don't be lazy or sound like an Ad

Many young guys are promoting their new companies through these video platforms and reaching very good revenue in just few months. You should also do it for sure.
 
Personally, I think that while location-based targeting does help, its impact isn't huge. However, it presents a very promising opportunity to increase engagement. Try posting short 30-60 second clips showcasing your store's interior, service process, or customer experiences to quickly reach nearby users.
 
YouTube can work well for local businesses if the content targets customer intent. city based targeting helps but videos should also include local keywords and topics.
Showing expertise and building trust usually brings better results than only chasing views.
 
It is worth it ........ i see local business grow using youtube. It can grow the brand but not necesarly grow your local business customers directly as peoples look more on google maps for local businesses
