Is anyone in Tech niche? Need recommendations

Hi guys,

Basically i'm in the IT industry and i am looking to utilize my skills to make extra income preferably online so i can work anywhere.

I can do things like online tech support (EG: migrate email servers, O365 management, Windows server management, computer troubleshooting, set up virtual machines)

I was thinking of Tech affiliates but i'm not sure if it's viable as i can't think of any evergreen products to sell, more to market and hope and rely someone buys it. Or make educational videos and somehow monetize or lead it to some sales.

Any ideas or suggestions would be good!

In truth, monetizing your skills through services is easier than doing so via affiliate marketing initially. Services like O365 migration, server management, and other proble solving services have obvious business utility and thus can easily be offered as retainers or consultancy services. Then, the content will attract traffic for you without relying only on ad revenue.

Given your experience, you will earn more from service deals than affiliate deals. Consider packaging your services, such as M365 migrations or remote IT assistance, in a fixed-price package or retainer. At this point, your videos could be used to generate leads as opposed to earning affiliate commissions.

If you are good in tech, tech related content do amazingly well, so you can create tech content.

I was thinking that actually, but i'm kind of nervous because in a Job i at least have an escalation point if things go south. But doing it on my own i'd have to do my own damage control. And i will be competing with people from India who charges their services way lower. But i should get out of my comfort zone

That's actually a good idea, but it'll be my first time actually offering my own services. Because the things i'm doing now is through my job. The thing that's stopping me is i'd have to do my own damage control if things go south or if someone gets unsatisfied

Your IT skills are already marketable freelance support or consulting could bring income faster than relying on affiliates.

if you can niche down to dev ops, though very technical, there's high demand for that in the software space.

With the skills you possess, making money is not difficult at all. Focus on building service packages with value or long-term contracts. You can find and create videos promoting your skills to customers to market and develop your market.
