A cheap list with outdated or irrelevant contacts can end up costing more in wasted outreach than it saves.

Have you had good experiences buying lead lists, or do you prefer building your own?

I prefer building my own. Buying does not work most of the time. Scams and waste of money, not worth the time either.

Most of the list you can buy are random lists that someone scraped. The lists may be previous spammed the sh*t of it and will usually not give good results and even worst may be irelevant for you

Buildin yer own list always wins long-term, no contest — bought lists are basically guaranteed to be stale/scraped garbage that tanks yer sender reputation n deliverability the second u start blastin em, while a self-built list (even if it's smaller n slower to grow) actually converts bc these ppl opted in n give a shit about what ur sellin

If you have a list that resonates with your product/service niche and the quality of your product/service is top-notch, then yes! But personally, I am building it myself.

In my opinion building lead lists and especially email lists is a goldmine. Buying them not so much because you can get scammed.

You can build now the email list and create a scraper with AI pretty simpler why will you buy something like this and risk getting scammed?

Building your own for sure. If it's B2B then you can easily scrape everything you need. If it's B2C just start with a small batches until you find the right supplier

tbh buying lead lists is usually not worth it unless you can verify freshness and targeting otherwise you’ll just burn time and money on dead leads
