From what i have seen the problem is not ai generated content. it is generic content. if an artiicle says the same things as hundreds of others it is probablly not going to do well no matter who or what wrote it. ai can save a lot of time but it is ur own research examples nd perspective that makes the content rank.

Google does not punish you just for using AI. They only drop your rank if the text is useless to the reader so just make sure your articles actually help people.

On the other hand, if you quickly generate AI content that simply rephrases everything that already exists on other pages and other websites, then such content is not considered original, and Google can easily detect it.

Honestly, I think bad AI content is the real problem and not AI itself because the People who spend time on good prompts and clean up the content seem to be doing just fine and natural-looking content is still ranking fine.
 
I don't see much of a connection between tools like Originality.ai and actual rankings either. There is content that shows up with a 100% AI label and still ranks very well, and on the flip side human content may still fall short. From what I can tell, sites that are performing consistently are those that have original ideas, good coverage of a subject, are well-edited and provide content that addresses the user's needs effectively rather than just being focused on the AI detection score.

This is a classic case where everyone builds their own farm of low value generated content, hoping for hundreds of thousands of daily users. But before you jump into execution, you need to understand what you're doing and why. The approach of pumping out thousands of pages just for traffic is fundamentally wrong from the start. What real value does your content provide compared to all your competitors? If it's not even a rewrite, but just a generic model-generated gpt response with no facts, no expertise, and no real user experience- then it's pointless. As an experiment, try adding proper copywriting to just one project at that scale, and you'll feel the difference

AI content is essentially a retelling of what already exists. It doesn't add any value to search results. Therefore, it doesn't work
 
In 2026 Google Allow AI Content and Many people rank website with AI, But If you use low quality Content then google Penalizing your content

Doesn’t really look like an “AI penalty” tbh..most drops seem tied to content quality and relevance, and those AI detectors don’t line up with how Google actually evaluates stuff.

Most ranking drops I have seen were tied to thin or repetitive content rather than a specific writing method.
