Curious: does voice search matter for small sites??

I run a small niche site and keep seeing articles about voice search growth. For a small site with limited content and budget, does optimizing for voice search actually move the needle?

If yes, what simple, low-effort changes should I make (e.g FAQ / conversational long-tail content, structured data, page speed)? If no, what signals would indicate I should revisit voice optimization later?

I'm curious about this too I've been seeing a lot of discussions around voice search but I'm still not sure whether it's actually worth optimizing for a small niche website.

IMO it's not. Other then when driving or at home with an Alexa device I've never noticed anyone using voice search. Most times people turn it off on their new phones because it's annoying that it interrupts conversations.
So it's either informational stuff to cut down the boredom when driving or frivolous stuff from Amazon.
