The emails are fine, subject lines are decent, content is clear, nothing spammy bur the response is low as compared to before. People open them but very few actually reply or take action.
It feels like inbox behavior has changed more than emails themselves.
Maybe email is becoming more scroll and ignore instead of read and response.

If this ever happens with you then are you changing your email approach or accept lower engagement ?

yes, i have noticed the same thing.Even if the email quality is good, people just dont respond like they used to .I think instead of accepting lower engagement, I would try changing the follow up style or making the cta more direct and simple. sometimes small tweaks in timing or subject angle can bring responses back.

Yes you are right people opens but does not reply. It feels like people just read the emails and move forward unless something forces them to reply.
I think by adding very clear question or direct CTA at the end helps a bit otherwise most people just read and ignore the emails.

Are you sending up follow ups or just one email? From my experience, I get replies after the 3rd email. If you give up after 1 or 2 emails maybe that is the issue.

I have also noticed the same. Nowadays, people reply only when the email feel relevant to them. I usually focus more on personalization than just writing a good subject line.

I think people are getting more emails and messages, so if they open it they do not always respond unless it feels urgent or highly relevant to them. Try to make short email instead of detailed message so they understand what you want to convey to them and respond quickly.

Seen the same thing. Open rates can look fine but replies drop because people are more selective with responses now. What helped me a bit was making emails more specific and focused on one clear action instead of multiple points. It seems like simpler as direct messages get slightly better response rates.

Opens measure your subject line and sender reputation, not intent, so a cleaner email can still stall at the reply stage. They're also noisier now, since open pixels and Apple Mail privacy prefetch inflate the number without a human ever reading. So a healthy open rate can sit right next to a dead reply rate, and the polish isn't the cause. That's the trap in "looks good": polished and generic reads as mass mail in a crowded inbox, and people scroll past it.

Replies come from relevance and friction. Tighten the segment so the message could only have been written to that person, make one specific low effort ask instead of "let's hop on a call," and give a concrete reason to reply now. Then run a short follow up sequence, since most replies land on the second or third touch, not the first.

Two checks worth running: confirm you're actually landing in the primary inbox and not Promotions, and measure reply rate per segment rather than in aggregate, where a few dead lists hide the ones still working.

Best,
Floqal

Something that works well for me is simple, direct messages, no images, no multiple colors, and very short, making it look as if a real person were actually writing to the lead.

I have noticed something like that too. These days an open does not mean u have someone attention. Instead of settling for lower engagement I try to make the first few lines more relevant and give people a single easy reason to reply or take acttion. The biggest difference has been in how I start the message. It is more important than re-writing the entire email.

Email marketing still works. If your open rates are fine then the issue is with your messages/cta. Change these so they are relevant to your target audience.

Most people are spammed to death by multiple email senders that they signed up but don't have any use for them rn.

I don't accept lower engagement, I increase personalization by segment and timing because relevant emails still generate strong response rates.
