Those seem natural, local citations is a given foundation and PR makes sense that a new biz has been launched.

Does a local service biz site naturally get 2.0 (.blogger, .wordpress, etc.) links or bookmarks at first, or ever at all really? I mean, when a local biz like a roofer gets a site live and does not build any links and some links start to come in organically or even a digital marketing agency does a site + SEO package, either way I would not think these are the first type of links that would start to show up pointing to a site like this.

The heavier links later though make sense (edits, GP's, PBN's)

It’s still too early to say for sure—most of the websites are only about 14 to 21 days old. I just started building branded foundational links using RankerX last week. Whether results come from my keyword research, the branded foundations, or a combination of both remains to be seen.

At first, there's a bit of a learning curve with RankerX, but after watching some tutorials on YT, it will come to you.

UPDATE

I've adjusted some of my strategies. I used to manually create branded foundation links with RankerX, but now I’m transitioning to using their wizards. In my opinion, they're more efficient and powerful—especially since I’m managing a large number of websites.

At the moment, I’m not sure if the quick wins I’m seeing are from the RankerX links powered up by GSA SER and getting indexed, or from my precision keyword strategy (which I’m not revealing just yet—I’m keeping some cards close to my chest).

Right now, I’m getting 1–2 calls per day from the sites. I’m currently partnered with a PPC network that offers revenue share, but I’m also waiting to get approved by another network that offers a much higher payout per call. They’re slow to respond, but once the account is set up, I plan to switch over.

For each local rank-and-rent site, I also plan to create a Facebook Page, BBB profile, and Trustpilot listing. I’ve noticed Facebook Pages not only generate inbound leads but also act as parasite SEO assets—some of my FB pages even outrank the main websites and hit top 10 positions on Google.

Next steps: I’m focusing on building out local citations to see if they move the needle further.

Are calls converting? At what rate?

Any info you can share about what network do you use?

None so far. I haven’t installed call recording yet because I don’t want to invest heavily in it until I know it’s worth it. Most calls right now are only a few seconds long, and the current network is on a rev-share model. I’m still waiting for approval from networks that pay per call, like Doppcall and LeadSmart. Once I start getting higher-quality calls and better volumes, I plan to switch to bigger networks—though most of them tend to start breathing down your neck if you don't produce calls and SEO can be slow.

UPDATE

Finally hit phase two for some of my sites. This example is from a site that’s now in the local citations stage—and the jump in stats is huge. From my experience, if you’re on a budget, local citations are absolutely worth it. I picked up around 350 of them and ran them through SpeedyIndexBot on Telegram. Honestly, it’s the best indexer I’ve used so far. If you sign up, they even give you 200 free links to send to their indexer.

Tomorrow, once my funds clear, I’m grabbing citations for the rest of my rank-and-rent sites. I’ll run them through SpeedyIndexBot first, then tier-blast those citation links with GSA SER. From what I’ve seen, doing both massively improves indexing and boosts rankings. RankerX branded foundations usually get my sites to positions 20–30, and citations push them up to around 20–15 (still too early to tell).

Honestly, out of all the phases, I find branded foundations to be the weakest. I’ll be skipping them entirely for any new niche sites I build. From my experience, the best return on investment comes from press releases, local citations, niche edits, guest posts (as long as they get indexed), and high-authority forum links.
 
Update:

Progress is still moving forward, and the websites are continuing to climb. Most of them are now sitting on, or holding steady near, the upper half of page 2 in Google. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been focusing on phase two of my strategy, submitting local citations, and it’s been exciting to see the results because they’re making a noticeable impact.

Looking ahead, I’ll be dropping branded foundations from my process. In my experience, they’ve done very little for rankings. I used to think they helped, but the early boosts were really from targeting extremely low-competition keywords with strong on-page optimization, which gets me into the top 20 before any external work is done, not from branded foundations themselves.

Moving forward, my focus will be on:
  • Local citations
  • Press releases
  • High-value link strategies such as niche edits, guest posts, and forum links

Just read through the entire thread. Im cheering for you man, cant wait to see where you go with it.
 
If you were to rent out your websites to local businesses, how would you determine the monthly fee?

Would you consider a fixed amount based on how much work you expect to receive in a given month, or perhaps a "basic SEO fee," since if they want to move their own website up in the rankings, they would need an SEO specialist, so you could basically replace that, plus an "average sales" fee, since you're also bringing in sales for them?

I ask this because I find it quite difficult to track how many requests/inquiries turn into actual orders. You can see how many forms have been filled out, or how many people have clicked on the phone number to inquire about the service. And, of course, you have to set a monthly fee that makes it worthwhile for the leasing company to take the website from you.

Plus, revenue varies from industry to industry, cause a bathroom remodeling could take up to a couple days, and is full of individual variables, while a locksmith can finish 1 job in 30 minutes.

I would like to know how you would approach it.
