What niches are just starting right now?

I am looking for a new niche and I am kind of stuck.

I do not have much experience. I did some SEO and built a few sites, that is pretty much it. But I really want to find a fresh gem. Not the stuff everyone is already doing, but something that is only starting right now and still has room to grow.

So I wanted to ask you:

• What niches do you see growing right now?
• Which of them look like they have a real future?
• What should I look at to spot something like this myself?

There are no money-making niches, only money-making effort.

If I were starting a fresh site today, I'd target cities hosting major events in 2028-2032 like the Olympics, World Cup, and so on. Keep the domain evergreen rather than tying it to the event, but start today so you have time to build authority before interest peaks.

Once the event is over, you still have an established city travel site, not an irrelevant domain taking up space.

@Stavro has a point with the long game but if you want something moving faster you need to look at product trends before they hit mainstream seo. honestly the easiest way is checking what is blowing up on tiktok or reddit and then comparing it to the search volume lag on google. there is usually a window of a few months where people are searching for a new ingredient, some niche hobby gadget, or a specific software workaround but nobody has built a dedicated site for it yet.

look at the supplement space for example. every time some new herb or peptide gets popular on social media, search volume spikes but the top search results are just generic health blogs. if you build a tight, 10-page site targeting just that one specific trend and its use cases, you can rank pretty quickly. another good way to spot these is just browsing kickstarter or trend aggregators to see what people are putting money into before the mass market catches on.

one thing that hasnt come up yet... the freshest trends are often the hardest to actually make money from when youre new. you can rank #1 for some new peptide or gadget but half the time theres no affiliate program yet, adsense pays peanuts on it, nobody is bidding. so you get traffic and no cash. learned that one the hard way.

if i were you with limited experience id honestly pick something slightly boring but where money is already moving. aging population stuff is quietly huge right now, mobility aids, hearing tech, senior friendly gadgets, the audience has money and the content is easy to churn out. same with anything home/reno adjacent that ties to energy costs (heat pumps, solar backup, insulation).

and pick a niche you kinda understand already. doesnt have to be a passion but you need to be able to write or brief 50+ articles without wanting to die. a "gem" you know nothing about just becomes a site you abandon at 8 posts.

the trend spotting advice above is solid but treat that as your second or third site once you have a base that pays the bills.
