Not sure if anyone noticed, but eBay traffic and niche reselling are picking up again in 2026.

With AI listing tools, better seller protections, and more collectors moving back to the platform, it feels like the marketplace is slowly waking up again.

Anyone here seeing better sales or traffic lately?

ebay has been a stable source of income for years, you just need to find the right products.

I think eBay is doing better now especially when it comes to eBay and the kinds of things that people do not usually buy.

Yeah it seems like more people are giving eBay another try. People are starting to use eBay and that is really interesting to see. EBay is getting popular more.

It appears that eBay is gradually getting back to normal, especially when it comes to niche products.

Yeah, eBay is getting better and better at seller protection. It works great for our refurbished iPhones business.

Niche is where the money is honestly. The generic stuff gets buried under sellers racing to the bottom on price. @DomantasDigital refurbished electronics is a good example, decent margins and steady demand.

The AI listing tools do help speed things up but dont rely on them fully, ebay still rewards good photos and honest descriptions. Traffic is definitely better than a couple years back though, cant argue with that.

not sure the traffic is up across the board tbh, my terapeak numbers look flat in apparel but collectibles/parts have definitely moved. so probly depends heavy on category rather than the whole platform waking up.

one thing nobody mentioned, the AI title tools are making everyone's listings look identical. i pulled a few competitor pages last month and half of them had the same phrasing structure, same keyword order... which kinda defeats the point. i still write my own titles and just let the ai do the bulk of the description, works better for me.

also watch promoted listing rates in your niche. mine crept from like 4% to 9ish in a year and that ate most of the margin gain from the extra sales. sell through rate is the number i actually track now, traffic on its own means nothing if the stuff sits.

refurb electronics is solid but the return rate is brutal if your grading is even slightly optimistic. be conservative on condition notes and you save yourself a lot of headaches later.

@CloudMerchant hit the nail on the head with the AI titles. When everyone uses the same generator, the search results look like a wall of dropshipped junk and buyers just scroll past. Cassini seems to be penalizing those copy-paste titles anyway.

I've seen the traffic bump in collectibles too but you still have to feed the algorithm daily. If you arent listing or editing something every day, your impressions just fall off a cliff. Been playing around with putting promoted listings at 2% just to get the initial search boost, then lowering it once the organic sales velocity kicks in. Seems to work better than burning margin on the recommended 9% rates.
