Hi. As tittle suggests, I « need » to find a way around a permanent site wide ban. The reason of the ban is really silly, but admins didn’t accept my appeal. Anyway, I know I should probably stay away from that site but I need to stick to it for a single important sub that I can’t seem to find an equivalent elsewhere. I have a « plan » which is the following :
I’ve been banned on my account A I’ve been using on my home WiFi (network A), my mobile service (network B) and university WiFi (network C), on device A, B and C (linux laptop and windows desktops) and device D (iPhone). My plan is to let some time fly (how much? A week? Two? More?) and use it on my iPad (device E, that I’ve never used to go to Reddit with my account) on a browser (Safari ? DuckDuckGo? Other?) using a network I’ve never used before on any device (network D). This network is the WiFi of my apartment complex that’s located roughly 400km away from my main house (need to travel for my work and my studies), so it’s shared with other persons. Of course, that’d only work when I am here, and I’ll be there for the next 4 ish weeks. When I get back to my main house, I will probably keep using it on my iPad while being connected to my college (not university) VPN, that I think I have very rarely used to access Reddit.
My questions are the following :
•I’m pretty sure it can work if I correctly do this masquerade each time I want to connect. My question is, will I need to do this forever, or is there some kind of time after which your account is considered safe? will I ever be able browse while connected to my home, university or college networks (A, B and C) without extra gimmick?
• Can it work in the first place?
• I also considered using a virtual machine (either virtual box or KVM based) on my Linux laptop, running another Linux distribution for the peace of mind (redhat probably), maybe running a browser like dolphin anty and connecting to network D or network A + college VPN, and ultimately reinstall it on my phone?
In advance, thanks
