Saw this a few days ago, anyone seen it as well?

Looks like IG is now removing links from bio (even stories).

Most likely related to: content, spam (in DM as well), links that lead to adult, or just sudden IP change.

yeah I’ve seen this happen too seems like ınstagram is being stricter with links lately.
 
Yeah, I've seen it too, but not on all of my accounts. Most of mine can still post story links normally. When one gets restricted, I usually just post a story telling people to check my Highlights instead, since I already keep stories with the link saved there. It's not ideal, but it works as a temporary workaround.
 
I've seen similar cases.
It looks more like an account trust or anti-spam issue than a global Instagram update.
Some accounts get the link feature back after a while.

meta support team can fix this problem. Talk to meta support team.
 
it’s usually tied to account trust signals (spam patterns, policy risk), not just randomly happening
 
Many people have also told me about this issue; most accounts are being tightened up. Has anyone found an effective way to recover them?
 
I've seen quite a few similar cases; it depends on the type of account. Accounts that are highly suspicious and lack trustworthiness often encounter situations like this.
 
I've found that warming up the account with regular activity and avoiding excessive link posting can sometime help restore normal shearing over time. It seems Instagram is becoming stricter with link sharing especially for newer or lower trust account.

Instagram automatically removing bio and story sticker links is typically triggered by AI security filters detecting spam violations, restricted landing page content, blacklisted URL shorteners, or sudden IP changes that trigger protective automated link bans.

That happened to an acquaintance of mine but he was spamming people with DMs.
 
It's mostly about the domain footprint tbh. if you are using cheap TLDs like .xyz or redirecting straight to CPA offers, IG bots will strip the link instantly. @Easymoney2026 is right about cloaking for the heavy stuff, but sometimes you just need a clean .com domain on a cloudflare lander with a basic click-through button. Also check your redirect chains... if you use cheap shorteners they are almost all blacklisted by now anyway.
