Is eBay Still a Viable Platform to Make Money in 2026?

I’ve seen a lot of discussion around different marketplaces, and eBay still comes up often when talking about making money online. Some people say it is harder now because of fees and competition, while others still report steady results with the right approach.

worth it? yes, but short term only. Or as a hustle.

I would use the money from there to then move onto your own site / consulting. Ebay long term is limited. The customers are way annoying, and it will hinder you long term, and think "price matters", when I sold stuff on my website for 4x the amount compared to ebay where I have to compete on price all the time.

eBay is also great whenever you need to liquidate your own stuff and want sell quickly and get a decent amount.
