I got my $45k released from tunecore which was on hold from past 6 years. Earned through Yt content id method ( you can find many threads related to YouTube content id work).

Content id is good method if you have honest distributor.
You can upload songs and relaxing music to earn

Content ID can be a solid revenue stream but choosing the right distributor and understanding the rules is what really makes the difference.

A good distributor can make a huge difference having original content and knowing how the system works is key.
 
Distrokid keeps taking down songs - what is the best distributor that is less likely to do this ?

Yup if you are a creator content ID is a solid way to earn money by having other people upload your assets (music, videos, photos etc) and you basically earn royalties.
