Are Replies More Important Than Likes on Twitter?

Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed that some posts receive fewer likes but spark long, meaningful conversations through replies.
Do you think replies are now a better measure of meaningful engagement on Twitter, or do likes and reposts still matter more?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

I think replies show deeper engagement likes are easy but taking time to respond usually means people actually care.
 
For me, comments and responses are more important now. Anyone can hit the like button, but if someone takes the time to reply, it usually means the post really captured their attention. Likes and reshares are still good for reach, but when I see a post with a lot of genuine discussion in the comments section, I generally assume it has a greater impact than a post with hundreds of likes and virtually no comments.
 
That's been my experience too. Some of my best posts weren't the ones with the most likes, they were the ones where people kept replying.

Replies are more important as they indicate engagement with your content.

Replies especially when you engage back are the ultimate metric because X's algorithm weights active conversations up to 150x higher than Likes, driving massive organic reach and building genuine authority.
