Hire some reddit VA
Ask them to create threads on your subreddit
Also ask them to engage as audience on those
The main worth strategy :
go to your niche similar subreddits
check for question there users asked or Problems/suggestions etc
create thread on your own subreddit based on that
Comment on that person post with your thread
Another tips : start with country local subreddits

To be honest growing a subreddit is an uselless job most of the time unless you can create a subreddit and have a bunch of friends to start that will join your group and engage. Otherwise is simple if you just join others subreddits

One thing I learned quickly is that creating a subreddit is the easy part but getting people to actually participate is the main challenge. I also treated my subreddit like a blog. I'd post a few times a week, ask questions, share useful resources, and reply to every comment.
An active subreddit with 20 members looks much more inviting than one with 500 members and no discussions. i would say It's much better to build a reputation first and let people become curious about what you're running.
