What's one blogging strategy that worked in 2024 but completely failed in 2026?

the approach that has altered for me is writinng lots of content in order to index more pages. in the past having more content would make me visible but currently low quality pages do not make much difference. it turned out that spending more time on improving content nd creating new material about certain topics is a more efficient approach. it seems like fewer yet better, artiicles bring more benefit.
Simple Keyword focused posts don't seem as effective as they once were, I have had better success by creating content that answers real questions and building stronger topic cluster's around it.

Publishing lots of pages just doesn’t seem to have the same impact anymore, especially if they don’t add much value. Focusing on fewer, higher quality articles around a specific topic feels like a much smarter approach now.

One approach that worked well before but has become far less effective is publishing lots of low competition informational posts. With AI search answering many basic questions directly, those pages often attract less traffic than they used to. I have found it is much more effective now to focus on original insights, real experience, strong topical coverage, and content that gives users a reason to visit your site instead of relying on an AI summary.

One thing I've noticed is that publishing lots of general informational articles isn't as effective as it used to be. In 2026, I've seen better results from creating in-depth, experience-based content that solves a specific problem, supported by strong internal linking and topical authority. It feels like quality and originality matter much more than simply increasing content volume.

I have noticed the same shift. Publishing more articles used to be enough to gain traction, but now search engines and users seem to value depth, real experience and content that actually solves a specific problem.
Building topical authority, adding strong internal links, and sharing unique insights from personal experience can make a much bigger difference than just increasing content volume.

Short, basic articles that only answer one keyword have become harder to grow. Content with real examples and useful details seems to perform better.

One strategy I think has lost a lot of power is publishing large volumes of generic AI assisted articles around every possible keyword, in 2024 some blogs could grow quickly by covering hundreds of low competition topics with lightly edited AI content but in 2026 that approach is much harder to sustain. Search engines seem better at identifying repetitive, shallow content and traffic can disappear quickly after an update, I think fewer, deeper articles built around real expertise and a clear niche are performing much better now than publishing content just to hit a certain word count or keyword target.

You are right. Many earlier techniques are useless now. Now you need lot of relevant backlinks.

I agree that relevant backlinks still matter, but it seems like quality and topical relevance are far more important now than just the number of links, i think digital PR and brand mentions are outperforming traditional guest post backlinks in 2026

Yep, same here! I agree 100% with you, updating older content works better RN.
I personally find less and less value in publishing pages jsst because one keyword seemed easy. You can get your page ranked for one keyword and yet make very little or no money off of it if all you do is solve a problem or answer a question. It is been more effective for me to address the issue and write only about my personal experience.
