i am paralyzed by fear and frightened of trying anything new. therefore, i am not reaching my full potential. therefore, i am depressed. not depressed, but feel stuck and discouraged.

please no bullshit advice like
get out of your comfort zone
believe in yourself
every day write down 3 things you are thankful for
go to the gym
smile more
meditate

it is my understanding that this drug can change you in an unpredictable way. i am afraid i will take it and become a serial killer or something

it can and will change you.

I could write hours on this subject.

mostly for good if your set and setting is in order.

seek guidance and spirituality, and you will receive it.

crave wisdom, mental strength and peace of mind and you will find it.

welcome on board bro, I guess healthy people in this sick world are the truly weird people here

I've been accumulating diagnoses for years, I'm undergoing treatment with medication and therapy, it's helping...you should seek professional assistance, many people here are going to just say ''take a cold wash every morning", "eat x and y", "use this supplement", "go to gym" and other guru advice, you need to talk with professionals who studied this subject for years instead of relying on random dudes like us

I have the opposite experience.

Paid top dollar for professionals, multiple clinics, and different specialists.

All were very happy to give prescription antidepressants, dopomine regulators and whatnot, chemical shit that made me sick and gave very little to no difference.

A youtube comment from a random dude changed my life for better.

That was 2 years ago and still going strong.

Now working on my physical strength and continuing to explore and travel paths of the subconscious mind.

I feel happy for you, for me it was the opposite direction, I hope OP can balance both approaches and find a way to improve his mental health

yes, I agree. Most important thing is to seek help I guess and want the change to happen.

Without action, there wont be any different results.

This the reason, you havn't found anything that makes money. Otherwise you wouldn't give a damn, you'd crank the music up, and get busy everyday, as every worthwhile business took time to develop and grow. So should yours.

i frequently go through this phase, also because am bipolar. So i cannot take a win and be happy with it. My eyes are bigger than my stomach. So for me its constant hustling

Also am not going to generalize get of out the comfort zone. Just get out of the house meet someone. Go to a support group. I go to NA. There is something call EA (if you dont have any addiction issues) EA is Emotional anonymous

But yes, watch a lot of comedy. I do that. Its silly and looks simple but helps

Also its okay to be low every now and then. We are all low/depressed sometimes so dont beat yourself up

I have started doing ChatGPT live. Excellent therapy for me. My space to be honest with my feelings.

Action is the magic word. Start, even if its small. Start

You are not alone, alot of people meets this fear.

Our fear of failure stifles the desire to explore much more than the chance of reward manages to stimulate it.

A research team tracked 594 university students over a two-year period. They utilized questionnaires and fMRI brain imaging to study the participants' neural activity.

Read the bible

Ask god for guidance

Trust the process

You wouldn't be given a task you was not able to complete

Try tracing down where the fk do your negative thoughts come from. Once you identify the root cause, everything falls into pieces. Just be man enough to do so.

Get a pen and paper write down a story about your beautiful days, specify on the things you did that made that day turn out beautiful; were you able to save cost, make folks energized or motivated, fixed a dispute, etc. Try to think of an organization around you that'd be needing a person with this kind of skills, reach out in person and discuss with the owner or management of how you can make impact in sustaining their business, volunteer to work for free, as it'll boost your chances of working with the organization. When this works out, restart a new life with that company and you'd gradually find those troubles disappear everyday you wake up to work. If a story you've written isn't turning out great or doesn't point as useful to any company, write another, rinse and repeat till one clicks. Good luck.

you'll have to start fighting your battles at a macro scale start with small tasks you hate doing and just get it done. you'll gain confidence try reaching out to some one you trust in real life for mentoring
