Do You Trust Reddit Reviews More Than Review Websites?

Nowadays, most of the peoples are using Reddit. We can find lots of discussions related to different product or services on reddit.
I often search for Reddit discussions before buying a product or trying a service. User comments usually feel more honest than reviews on dedicated review sites. What about you? Do Reddit reviews influence your buying decisions?

Review sites died because the affiliate links and SEO manipulation became too obvious to the average consumer. People pivoted to Reddit because they are desperate for raw, unfiltered human opinions.
 
Yes to some extent Reddit reviews often feel more honest because you can see different opinions real experiences and even criticism I still double-check information but for many products and services Reddit discussions give a much cleaner picture than many review sites filled with affiliate content
 
yes reddit is more trust worthy than normal website review they can be manipulated easily i have seen many people do it

People trust it more because the UI feels human, but the underlying manipulation is just as prevalent. Enjoy reddit, but always read it with a marketer's skepticism.
 
ngl yeah, review sites feel super fake nowdays but on reddit u get real thghts from actual ppl who used the stuff.

Yes, but I do not only reply on reddit. I generally read reddit discussions first because people tend to share both good and bad real experiences there. Then I compare that with reviews from other sources before making a final decision.
 
I find that reviews on Reddit are generally quite insightful these days. However, I still tend to rely more on Google Reviews when making decisions.
 
Reddit's better but its not clean either, depends a lot on the niche. Smaller subreddits with active mods are still solid, the big default ones get astroturfed constantly. Anything with money behind it... seo tools, vpns, hosting, supplements, those threads are full of planted comments and people pretending to be regular users. You can usually spot it when an account only ever shows up to praise one product.

What works for me is sorting by controversial or just reading the negative replies first. The complaints are harder to fake than the praise honestly. @Jommo google reviews are way easier to game than reddit imo so im surprised you lean on those more, but yeah cross checking a few sources is the only real move.
 
Reddit is great until a product gets popular, once companies realize there's money to be made, you start seeing a lot more promotional accounts in those discussions.
 
Yes for products and online services. Reddit discussions give real user experiences but I still check multiple opinions instead of relying on a single discussion.
 
I trust reddit more than reviews websites but not blindly. I usually read multiple threads and look for detailed comments from real user. At the same time i know some brands pay for promotional posts so I always compare different opinions before making a decisions
 
I usually rely more on reviews from Google because finding the information I need on Reddit can be quite time-consuming.
 
It depends. It depends on how authentic the review is. Sometimes reviews are fake and intentional. Real experienced reviews drive me to take decision.

Yeah I also do that. I use reddit before making a purchase just to see if it is worth it for other people.
 
i do check reddit before making a decision discussions often feel more genuine because people share real experiences although i still like to compare information from a few different sources

I think both have their place. Reddit feels more genuine since people share real experiences, but it can also be biased depending on the thread or community. Review websites are more structured and easier to scan, though not always 100% trustworthy. I usually check both to get a more balanced and informed view.
