Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed that many creators are paying closer attention to how often their posts are saved rather than simply counting likes.
Do you think saves are now a better indicator of valuable content and long term performance, or do likes still matter just as much?
Would love to hear your thoughts.

I think saves are more valuable because they show people want to come back to the content later. Likes are still helpful but saves often show stronger interest and long term value.

Both are valuable. likes are help to get more reach and saves are help to rewatch that content again. Both are equally important

I think saves have become a stronger indicator of content people find genuinely useful, especially for educational or evergreen posts. That said, I wouldn't ignore likes, it's the combination of saves, shares, watch time, and overall engagement that gives the best picture of how well a post is performing.

In my opinion, the number of saves is becoming a more valuable metric. Likes show that content makes an impression or evokes emotions at the moment viewers see the post. This is still a good sign of initial engagement.

Both are valuable, and developing both will be very good for your account.

I still look at both, but saves mean more to me. They're harder to get and usually show real interest.

While saves are an indication that people really care about the content on some occasions. Nevertheless, i do not consider the likes to be insignificant as well bcz they represent the immediate feedback from the audience.
That said, i am concerned about the ability of the content to provide an incentive for the audience to return back, share or do something else after reading the post. It might liked less , but more valuable than others.

i have also begun to give more consideration to saves. someone may be able to like a post right away nd then move on but when someone saves a post it probablly means it was actually valuable for him or her. in my experience when there are not many likes on a post but there r a lot of saves the post is creatiing more value.

I believe saves to be useful but i view them as an indication of how useful the content is in terms of performance. An entertaining post may generate hundreds of likes but a useful post may have lesser likes and more saves.
The true winner, to me, is the content that can generate various reactions such as saves, shares, and profile views. The saves alone cannot give a complete picture but they are an indicator of whether the content is valuable or not.

saves seem to be gaining signifiicance since they have the element of intent in addition to a response. in most cases when someone saves ur post it means they found it valuable nd want to save it for future purposes. while likes might be helppful in gauging interest, for longer lasting content i would pay more attention to saves, shares, nd return visits.

saves are a stronger signal than likes, a save means someone found the content valuable enough to come back to which tells the algo way more.

Saves are definitely more valuable than shares in my opinion as they indicate people liking your content and they want to watch it later.

I believe it is essential to develop two equally important aspects in tandem: engagement metrics which demonstrate the value of your video and help prevent a drop in views and the ability for users to revisit the content.

saves are a better signal for long term value than likes, because they show intent but likes still matter for early velocity
