I keep seeing mixed opinion about skyscraper techniques and says that it was an outdated and overused, but others claim it's work if done properly

Anybody got any backlink?

Yeah it still works but only if your content is clearly better than what is already ranking. Just making a longer article is not enough. Add fresh insights real examples and useful data then reach out to relevant websites that actually care about your topic.

But Skyscraper still works fine; it’s just that the older formula of making it long and blasting outreach” isn’t very novel anymore. In my opinion, I would try making something truly valuable first, and then reach out to only a select few websites.,

It works just fine, but the simple “create a longer article and send it to 1,000 websites, strategy is old hat. The key today is to identify a hole in the content and fill it by reaching out to those sites,

It can still work, but just making longer content is not enough now, you need better research, unique value, and proper outreach.

I think the technique can still work, but only if your content genuinely offers more value than what's already ranking. Outreach quality and relevance are just as important as the content itself.

Hello @Anos_King !
your right that there are mixed opinions. the original skyscraper technique is overused so simply making a longer version of someone elses content and asking for links usually doesnt work anymore.
the best approach today in my opinion iss to create content that is genuinely more useful by adding fresh data real examples unique insights or can say free tools then reach out only to websites that would actually find it valuable. focus on quality over quantity build real relationship and earn relevant backlinks instead of chasing large numbers. quality over quantity I must say.

however i believe that the method is not out of date it is simply getting more competitive. back then to boost the performance of the article it was sufficient to add some more words to it. nowadays however, one gets more pickky about what kind of links one chooses to use. if the content u creatted contains some kind of original research or rare information the skyscraper method can be used successfully.

I think the skyscraper technique still has value, but the way people used it years ago is what became outdated. Simply making a longer article than competitors is not enough anymore. The focus should be on improving the content with real experience, better information, and filling gaps that existing pages missed.

In my experience, the outreach part also matters a lot because good content alone doesn’t always attract links automatically.
